Ever thought about teaching in a Blackpool School?
Let the children explain why you should.
Who are we?
The Blackpool Teaching School Alliance (BTSA) are leading the way for school-led Initial Teacher Education in Blackpool. The BTSA was founded by a group of schools in Blackpool to support Blackpool schools to be the best that we can be, to learn from each other and share best practice. BTSA is founded on a belief that high quality teaching and learning can overcome disadvantage and promote high standards in even the most challenging of schools. BTSA has been developed to promote high standards in all schools whether they be Primary, Secondary or Special Schools. We have 28 Schools in Blackpool supporting our School Direct Programme. We also work with 6 Special Schools Park Community Academy, Woodlands Special School, Great Arley School, Highfurlong School, Pear Tree School and Hillside Specialist School and College.
Why train with us?
Blackpool is a rewarding yet challenging place to teach. Our vision is to train the next generation of outstanding Blackpool teachers to give the children of Blackpool the best possible start in life. Our training is delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. In addition, if you have a passion for teaching children with Special Educational Needs we also offer a specialist SEND route into teaching.
